Natural gaits

What does it mean to maintain natural gaits?

It would mean maintaining the healthy walk-trot-gallop in its natural patterns and rhythms and being careful not to destroy the nature of each gait during flexibility and balance training on the circle and on the track.
A little reminder:
Do you know what rhythm the walk has?
Which rhythm has trot and which has gallop?
Can you feel when a rhythm becomes impure?
Do you feel the impulse through the horses back?
Can you feel when your horse has tensed its back muscles and is short in stepping? Can you sense when its balance is lost and individual legs are drifting in different directions?
Seeing and feeling is the first step. Only then is it important to support with subtle aids. Always consider which aid gives the best results! 🥰Have fun!
